What's worse than this...
Via JW. Breach of protocol. "Americans do not bow to foreign monarchs because that act signified the monarch's power over his subjects."
"Obama bows down to Saudi King (updated)," by Clarice Feldman at The American Thinker, April 2 (thanks to Doc Washburn):
[...] See Miss Manners on the protocol. Americans do not bow to foreign monarchs because that act signified the monarch's power over his subjects.
Both pictures give me the willies.
Update from Atlas.
This proves that Obama was bowing and that is not a case of trickery.
And just for knowing, he did not bow or curtsy to the Queen.

So I hope all the lefties who tore into Bush over his Saudi prostration will express equal disgust with President HopeAndChange’s literal bowing and scraping to King Abdullah.
If this is a bow, it’s more than Elizabeth got when The One met her yesterday. Maybe if she started beheading people for not practicing the state religion, she’d have received a little more deference. Exit quotation from a 1994 edition of the NYT, contemplating the prospect of Clinton bowing to Japan’s emperor: “Canadians still bow to England’s Queen; so do Australians. Americans shake hands. If not to stand eye-to-eye with royalty, what else were 1776 and all that about?”
I can’t really laugh at Obama’s antics in Europe. He is throwing American power and prestige out with both hands as fast as he can. I can’t laugh at it, because he’s taking all of us with him.
