Both of these items are already on the List of things that Offend Muslims, but it's worth noting that these same issues keep recurring and are not just isolated incidents. First, guide dogs.
MELBOURNE: Muslim taxi drivers in
Australia are refusing to carry blind and disabled passengers with guide dogs -
because their religion tells them the animals are "unclean".
A
Courier Mail
report revealed that
Brisbane's Yellow Cab Company has been forced to sack some drivers over their
conduct towards passengers with assistance dogs.
Now, the company
has produced a booklet informing drivers of their duty towards blind and
disabled customers with dogs.
Islamic Council of Queensland
president Suliman Sabdia said dogs were considered a health risk for Muslims but
"to use religion as a reason to refuse blind and disabled passengers is
unjustified".
It's nice to see common sense prevail on this issue. How else do these zealots expect the blind to get around?
The next news item comes from that monument of tolerance, Dubai, where the dhimmi tourists are expected to drop off their money while being told how to dress. Although it's fine to export sharia.
DUBAI police say they have arrested 17 foreign men for allegedly being
gay and wearing women's clothes in public in the Middle East tourist
hub.
A report in Dubai's Gulf News said that the "cross-dressing tourists" would be deported soon.
"This is against the UAE's traditions and social values," said Dubai Police Chief, Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim.
Homosexuality is illegal in the strict Muslim city-state.
The article goes on to say that Dubai has installed guardtowers and undercover cops to patrol the beaches for immorality. I bet that won't make in the tourism ads.
