I still don't think he's a serious contender though, does anyone remember he won New Hampshire in 2000? I didn't think so, the only reason I know is because I looked up NH's primary history. Not only did McCain win, but he crushed the eventual winner GWB by 19 points. This time around, he beats Romney by 5 points (as of this writing).
Like 2000's second place finisher in NH, Romney leads in delegates, with 30. McCain has 10, Huckabee 21. The real surprise is Giulliani, who has been soundly defeated in all three primaries thus far, and carries only one delegate.
On to Michigan, with it's all or nothing 61 delegates. (some states split the delegates)
Romney leads Michigan by 1 point over Huckabee. If Romney wins there, that would give him 91 delegates and that momentum should carry him to the finish. I believe Huckabee's faith in Iowa and McCain's independence in NH are isolated pockets of popularity. The only consistent candidate among the three primaries has been Romney. As Romney put it, "two silvers and a gold".
Ron Paul's documented racism should knock him out of the race, or at least contention. I wish his followers would wake up and smell the newsletters. Assuming that is, that they don't agree with that sort of thing.
Thompson is done, and never really got going. It's too bad, I would have voted for him.
