Footbasins for Muslims in KC Airport

The Kansas City International Airport has added several foot-washing basins in restrooms to accommodate a growing number of Muslim taxicab drivers who requested the facilities to prepare for daily Islamic prayer, WND has learned.

The move concerns airport police who worry about Middle Eastern men loitering inside the building. After 9/11, the airport beefed up its police force to help prevent terrorist attacks.

"Why are we constructing places of worship for them inside our airports?" said an airport official who requested anonymity. "Why are we catering to their rituals? We don't do it for any other religion."

Your basic dhimmitude story, right? But KMBC TV countered with this;

The story from WorldNetDaily.com claims that Kansas City International Airport built foot-washing basins for Islamic taxi drivers. The article alleges that airport police are afraid of Middle Eastern men who congregate near the wash areas.KCI spokesman Joe McBride said the story isn't true.

"It's a case of mistaken information on the Internet and we're trying to clear it up," McBride said.

Taxi drivers said they comprise people from all over the world -- not just the Mideast."All (kinds of) cab drivers we have here -- Somalis, Christians, Jews, Orthodox. Everybody we have here, every nationality," taxi driver Abdul Sharif said.

McBride said the wash stations were installed about a year ago when the airport expanded the taxi facility and added another bathroom. He said the wash stations weren't made for the exclusive use of anyone or any group in particular."The guys making a big issue out of it -- it's not just for Muslims," taxi driver Shareif El-Mahdi said."I think the Internet article blew it out of proportion. (It) had the wrong info about the facilities, gave the wrong impression. I think once people learn the facts, they'll see it's not a big deal at all," McBride said.

Unfortunately, the ever inquizative reporters at KMBC allowed the airport spokesmen to  to totally avoid the point and go unquestioned. First of all, Christians, Jews and people of other faiths don't require footbasins, nor would they ever demand them. Muslims do.

Secondly, ""The Council on American-Islamic Relations has pressed government agencies and businesses to install the foot basins in restrooms."" CAIR doesn't act on behalf of "every group of people. CAIR acts on behalf of Muslims in an effort to establish Sharia Law in the United States.

The controversial Muslim lobby group advises employers to allow Muslim workers time to perform both the washing ritual and prayer, which "is usually about 15 minutes," according to a pamphlet CAIR publishes called, "An Employer's Guide to Islamic Religious Practices."

If you need more proof, a public college in Minnesota has installed foot basins in an effort to please Muslims.

With regards to Minneapolis Airport's Muslim cab drivers, in 2006 the Muslim American Society of Minneapolis (MAS) issued a "fatwa" (religious edict) to the Minneapolis Airport Commission (MAC). The fatwa advised MAC that Islamic law prohibits Muslims from being around the sin of alcohol and Muslim cabbies refused to transport any passenger fares who had packed sealed alcoholic products in their luggage. Other Muslim taxi drivers at the airport also refused to transport passengers with dogs — including guide dogs. Muslims consider not only pork to be unclean but, dogs also. After a great deal of foot-dragging and stalling, MAC finally voted on the Muslim cabbies' demands, in April. With a unanimous 11-0 vote, Minneapolis Airport commissioners agreed to suspend airport taxi drivers who refuse fares. The first offense will carry a 30-day suspension and repeat offenses will result in 2-year taxi license revocations. Note:  This is highly unusual, as lately all too many Muslim demands have been met with submission to them.

Airport Spokesman McBride is either lying through his teeth or is stupifyingly ignorant. But covering the airport's behind is his job, the reporters at KMBC aren't doing their job at all.

Iran Outlaws Western Haircuts

Have a unibrow? Allah wills it.

Iranian police have warned barbers against offering Western-style hair cuts or plucking the eyebrows of their male customers, Iranian media said Sunday.

The report by a reformist daily, later confirmed by an Iranian news agency, appeared to be another sign of authorities cracking down on clothing and other fashion deemed to be against Islamic values.

"Western hairstyles ... have been banned," the newspaper Etemad said in a front-page headline.

I bet the people feel better already. Forward thinking, tolerant...The same thing happened in Pakistan a few months ago.

It says in Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah (17/133): “It is not permissible to remove the hair of the eyebrows because this is the namas (plucking) for which the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) cursed those who do it, and it is a kind of changing the creation of Allaah, which is the action of the Shaytaan. If a woman’s husband tells her to do it, she should not obey him, because it is a sin, and there is no obedience to any created being if it involves disobedience towards the Creator. Rather obedience should only be with regard to things that are good and proper, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said.”

Is the war on terror over?

Victor Davis Hanson's piece at Townhall examines the West's impatience and underestimation of Islamofascism.

Do we still need to fight a war on terror?

The answer seems to be no for an increasing number in the West who are weary over Afghanistan and Iraq or complacent from the absence of a major attack on the scale of 9/11.

 

The British Foreign Office has scrapped the phrase "war on terror" as inexact, inflammatory and counterproductive. U.S. Central Command has just dropped the term "long war" to describe the fight against radical Islam.

An influential book making the rounds - "Overblown: How Politicians and the Terrorism Industry Inflate National Security Threats, and Why We Believe Them" - argues that the threat from al-Qaida is vastly exaggerated.

Zbigniew Brzezinski, Jimmy Carter's national security adviser, goes further, assuring us that we are terrorized mostly by the false idea of a war on terror - not the jihadists themselves.

Even onetime neo-conservative Francis Fukuyama, who in 1998 called for the preemptive removal of Saddam Hussein, believes "war" is the "wrong metaphor" for our struggle against the terrorists.

Others point out that motley Islamic terrorists lack the resources of the Nazi Wehrmacht or the Soviet Union.

This thinking may seem understandable given the ineffectiveness of al-Qaida to kill many Americans after 9/11. Or it may also reflect hopes that if we only leave Iraq, radical Islam will wither away. But it is dead wrong for a number of reasons. Read more.

Is That a Gun in Your Pocket?

Iowahawk does it again, this time the victim is Dan Simpson. Here's what Simpson wrote;

The disarmament process would begin after the initial three-month amnesty. Special squads of police would be formed and trained to carry out the work. Then, on a random basis to permit no advance warning, city blocks and stretches of suburban and rural areas would be cordoned off and searches carried out in every business, dwelling, and empty building. All firearms would be seized. The owners of weapons found in the searches would be prosecuted: $1,000 and one year in prison for each firearm.

But Simpson's unconstitutional blather is no match for Iowahawk's wit.

LAST week's tragedy at Virginia Tech in which a mentally disturbed person gunned down 32 of America's finest - intelligent young people with futures ahead of them - once again puts the phenomenon of an armed society into focus for Americans.

Let's do the math: (a) those two Virgina Tech guns killed an average of 16.5 people; (2) by conservative estimates, 240 million guns are wandering aimlessly around America's mean streets; therefore (iii) when these crazy guns finally snap, they will kill (16.5 x 240 million) = 4 billion people -- wiping out not only Virginia Tech, but the entire ACC and NCAA Division I-A itself. In this post-gun apocalypse there won't be enough survivors to bury the dead, let alone fill a decent bracket at the NCAA basketball tournament.

Obviously something must be done to stop this impending March Madness. But when people talk about doing something about guns in America, it often comes down to this: "How could America disarm even if it wanted to? There are so many guns out there."

To this smart-alecky question, a sane person would retort, "what difference does it make what America wants to do?" But, because I have little or no power to influence the "if" part of the issue, I will stick with the "how," and later I will move on to the "even." And before anyone starts to hyperventilate and think I'm some wacky crazed liberal zealot wanting to pry his precious gun from his cold, dead hands, I would first like to share my experience of guns, before outlining my commonsense plan for taking your guns.

Jihadis aspire to 'conquer France'

Hat tip, JW. Today's muhajideen won't fight with large armies in the traditional sense of battle. Islam has traditionaly been spread with the sword. But today's Muslim nations are far behind in technology, so they will continue to wear down their own countrymen with suicide bombers. In a war like this, leftist pity for "freedom fighters" and "oppressed peoples" are Islam's best weapons.
If Europe doesn't rethink it's polically correct policies, thousands of "Battle of the Tours'" will be fought in the shape of car bombs upon the citizenry, giving no quarter to women, children or the elderly.

As the French people went to the polls to select a president, jihadi members of an al-Qaeda online forum exchanged messages discussing their aspiration to "reinvade France (and convert it into) an Islamic country."

A post that appeared on the al-Firdaws jihadi forum, submitted by a user named Faisal al-Baghdadi, contained a lengthy historical account of "the second stop of the Islamic conquest of Europe, France, after Andalusia, Spain."

The internet discussion appeared as Spanish security forces warned that both Spain and France were targets of al-Qaeda terror plots.
The post took a nostalgic look at the battle of Tours in 732, in which Muslim forces, commanded by Rahman al-Ghafiqi, who invaded a portion of France, were repelled by the Frankish general Charles Martel ("the hammer"), and forced to retreat. The battle stemmed the medieval Islamic conquest of Europe.

"We ask that Allah sends us a genuine Rahman al-Ghafiqi, to finish what he started in Europe, and conquer the Vatican as promised in our beautiful Islamic verses," the post concluded.

"The Islamic army was left with a large number of martyrs, especially the great shahid (martyr) Abdul Rahman a-Ghafiqi… this battle is mentioned in history, and is known at the battle of Tours," the post explained.

You can also count on the muhajideen to use the most vile weapons available to them.

Meanwhile, a document circulating a number of al-Qaeda websites contains a guide on how to survive a nuclear war. An accompanying message said the guide had been translated into Arabic.

The document began with a prayer: "And make ready against them all you can of power, including steeds of war to threaten the enemy of Allah and your enemy…"

...and their purpose;

"Finally, we ask God to grant us the ability to enable his rule across all corners of the earth," the message concluded. It was signed by "your brothers in the Jihad Media Battalion."

Giulliani Warns of "New 9/11" if Dems Win

This is not how I would've said it, because AQ is going to hate us no matter who's in charge. But to Giulliani's credit, he knows how important this issue is, and is also aware of how the Dems plan of appeasment will lead to disaster.

Clinton didn't "get it" after the first WTC attack, and today's dems still don't get it after 9/11. While the President tries to focus on fighting AQ, the left has focused on Gitmo, undoing the Patriot Act, surrender in Iraq, and sensativity towards Muslims. The Dems want to stop terrorism, they really do, but they're not willing to risk losing any troops, opposing Islamic dictatorships, or basicly offending anyone.

Rudy Giuliani said if a Democrat is elected president in 2008, America will be at risk for another terrorist attack on the scale of Sept. 11, 2001.

But if a Republican is elected, he said, especially if it is him, terrorist attacks can be anticipated and stopped.

“If any Republican is elected president —- and I think obviously I would be the best at this —- we will remain on offense and will anticipate what [the terrorists] will do and try to stop them before they do it,” Giuliani said.

The former New York City mayor, currently leading in all national polls for the Republican nomination for president, said Tuesday night that America would ultimately defeat terrorism no matter which party gains the White House.

“But the question is how long will it take and how many casualties will we have?” Giuliani said. “If we are on defense [with a Democratic president], we will have more losses and it will go on longer.”

He should've added that those casualties are more likely to be civilian, rather than military. The Dem's want to "protect the troops". A nice idea, except who's going to protect the civilians? It's the military's job to protect us, our job is to support them.

“I listen a little to the Democrats and if one of them gets elected, we are going on defense,” Giuliani continued. “We will wave the white flag on Iraq. We will cut back on the Patriot Act, electronic surveillance, interrogation and we will be back to our pre-Sept. 11 attitude of defense.”

He added: “The Democrats do not understand the full nature and scope of the terrorist war against us.”

Rosie is Out Of The View

Have Rosie's shenanigans finally caught up to her? The potty-mouthed 9/11 conspiracy nut is out of work. Suppossedly she will only be appearing periodicly on The View. But one can't help but wonder if the official story of a contract dispute isn't a smokescreen for the fact that Rosie has continually dug herself deeper and deeper into an abyss of stupid rants, racsist jokes, and obscene comments. It's quite possible that sponsors have threatened to dump the show. According to ABC's own poll, Rosie's getting the thumbs down at a three to one ratio.

Perhaps she can pair up with Imus?
