Yes we lost and we lost big. The Dems won the White House with a guy who looks like the second coming of Jimmy Carter. Just like Carter, Obama was elected after the second term of a very unpopular Republican. Like Nixon, Bush's unpopularity made him a major liability to the GOP. Clearing a path to a convincing Obama victory.
Depressing stuff no?
Not if you put it in the proper perspective. Sure, America suffered for four years under a disastrous Carter administration, but after that the GOP ushered in Ronald Reagan. A full 12 years of the GOP in the White House before we lost it again in 1992. Reagan went over the heads of the media and spoke directly to the people. After 4 years of liberal based malaise, America couldn't resist a conservative.
So four years from now, it's going to be impossible for Obama and the MSM to hide his inexperience and far left ideas. People are going to be looking for ...ahem! Change. That change will come in the shape of a real conservative, not another RINO like McCain.
So don't despair. America under Obama is still the greatest country in the world, and it will be even better soon enough.
