Trent Lott: Talk Radio is Running America

The more Republicans try to defend amnesty, the more idiotic they sound. The latest gaffe is by Trent Lott, joining President Bush (The Coyote in Chief), Lindsey "shuddap" Graham, John "Recall" Kyl and John "RINO" McCain as the GOP attempts to collectively destroy itself by abandoning it's base.

Sen Lott's statement isn't just insulting to his constituency, the majority of American voters and the millions of talk radio listeners, it's just flat out stupid. Consider the absurdity of the Minority Whip of the United States Senate thinking that he takes his marching orders from Rush Limbaugh. When did Michael Savage ever pass a law?

Comments by Republican senators on Thursday suggested that they were feeling the heat from conservative critics of the bill, who object to provisions offering legal status. The Republican whip, Trent Lott of Mississippi, who supports the bill, said: “Talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem.”

At some point, Mr. Lott said, Senate Republican leaders may try to rein in “younger guys who are huffing and puffing against the bill.”

One has to wonder if Sen Lott is just confused about which party he is in, talk radio has done more to the Republican message out than all the other media sources combined. America is run by politicians not talk radio, and we know how to deal with politicians.

As a Republican who has defended Trent Lott when he was criticized by liberals, I am greatly disappointed by his comments on Talk Radio (running??) America.
Freedom of Speech is one of our most respected rights. Liberals have tried to strip Americans of the right to bear arms, the right to say no to "forced" union fees and now the right to free speech. Liberals are truly Anti-American.

Let's put a Fairness Doctrine in our Government Schools on all controversial subjects such as abortion, gay rights, the THEORY of darwinism and the THEORY of global warming. Just watch the liberals scream if we try it. And we will, if talk radio is silenced. Maybe we will anyway. Now that we know we are strong in numbers it is time to take back America and ALL our freedoms.

I am deeply disturbed by the republicans who are leaning left. I am also surprised at who they are. I will not forget them at election time.

These guys amaze me. Such betrayel. I know of one politician who takes the American voter seriously and thats Grey Davis. I also noticed there is a recall petition under way to recall Senator Mel Martinez of Florida who renigged on his campaigne promises to never support amnesty. I live in Michigan and may start a petition to recall Senator Carl Levin-a huge pro-illegal immigration supporter.

I'm convinced, Trent Lott is easily one of the dumbest politicians ever. He's just simply clueless.

After his idiotic gaffe with Strom, he went into moron mode and tried to kiss liberal ass, and pretend to be "down" with black America that I thought he would claim that he couldn't get seated at Dennys.

He apparently still thought he was in good with his liberal "homeys" when he decided to turn on talk radio- the ONLY force that defended him and told his side of the Strom gaffe.

He's just too stupid to EVER know which side of the bread the butter is on, and no doubt will just keep on sticking his foot in his mouth, while his "homeys" snicker at him, glad to have more ammunition to use against Republicans.

The Republican party is fully to blame however though. They should kick dumb old clueless fossils like Lotte out of the party and work on rebuilding the damage twits like him have done.
