John Edward's Blogger

Presidential candidate John "we'll have to raise taxes" Edwards has selected Amanda Marcotte as the official blogger of his campaign. No big deal except Michelle Malkin has exposed Marcotte's blog. the Pandagon as a petulant foul mouthed ranter who is now deleting old posts in an effort to cover her tracks. Here's a sample of Marcotte's work. Censorship mine.

Back when Cynthia McKinney was stopped by the cops, Pandagon (Amanda) wrote this:

"One of the tools of male dominance and white supremacy is to create reasonable rules and then only hold non-white people or women accountable for breaking them. I notice that the cop putting his hands on a woman isn’t being held up an example of violence. I often flip s**t when a man puts his hands on me against my will, because it often puts a stop to the aggressive behavior immediately–I know that public gropers, for instance, rely on the social expectation of female submmissiveness to get away with what they do and you can generally scare the s**t out of them just by screaming, but I’ve punched when I have to. Mostly people admire this in me.

But then again, I’m white."

There are more example's of Marcotte's four letter thoughts at Malkin's blog, the above is some of the mild stuff. My own experience with Pandagon has been quite negative. This post was heavily trolled when a Pandagon reader linked to it in the comments section of that blog.

I know there are a lot of blogs that use foul language, but I never thought it helped the coversation. The blogospere should be about the free exchange of ideas, and the language abuse by some bloggers relects negatively on all of us.

Edward's selection of Marcotte does nothing to elevate of enlighten the reader, unless of course you just want to read a bunch of %@#in' bu*&^%$. Hot Air has more.
