Blogiversary One Open Trackback

Yes folks, it was exactly one year ago today that I began blogging. bRight & Early came up with the brilliant blogiversary idea, click here to join the blogiversary blogroll. Regular visitors know that the primary concern here is the terrorist threat to the United States and her allies, but I've written on many subjects concerning conservatives and sometimes indulged myself the occasional musical post. A personal photograph or a "this day in history feature" randomly appears. My First Post, Jason Pappas left the first comment. (click to enlarge pic)

Amboy0_1 The name Amboy comes from a ghostown along rt 66 in the California desert.  The name worked for my blog on many levels. Amboy sounds like an acronym for American Boy. The fact that Amboy has a population on 29 would perfectly reflect the new blogs diminutive readership compared say, to Little Green Footballs.  The town of Amboy is on route 66, reflecting my interest in long road trips and American history.

I want to thank "My Favorites" (see sidebar) for their support when I first started. Their encouragement meant a lot.

As of this writing, the total number of visitors of this blog and the old blogspot Amboy are 10,051, with 15,390 page views. Not bad for my first year. Thanks again everyone.

This post is also an Open Trackback, so feel free to send your posts along with a hello.

Congrads Buddy!!!..heres to many many more!!!!

Congratulations on your one-year blogoversary. In regards to "Amboy" I am reminded of the band Ted Nugent was originally a member. They were called "The Amboy Dukes." Just a little musical trivia.

Congrats on your first year. I knows hows it feels.

Happy Blogiversary, Kevin! Good luck on your next year!

Congratulations. It takes a lot more commitment than I had ever imagined to keep a blog going.

Thanks all.

Carl, it's a Journey to the Center of the Mind, lol.

Damn, I'm late again as usual. CONGRATS, Kevin!

Like Carl, I also thought of the Amboy Dukes and I'm a hard addict to Mr. Nugent. I enjoy your blog and refreshing, thoughtful posts. Keep rippin' 'em, Sir!
